Multiple businesses prepare to engage in the artisanal craft sector
On the 13th of September, the BTZ Rohr-Kloster education campus will play host to the "Handwerk all-in" event, the largest action and career day dedicated to crafts in South Thuringia. This exciting day promises to be a great opportunity for students in grades 7 to 11, as well as anyone interested in the crafts sector, to explore various training companies and potentially start a new apprenticeship.
The event will kick off with an official opening by Thuringia's Minister President Prof. Dr. Mario Voigt and HWK President Mike KaΜmmer. Over 70 training companies from the region will be present, showcasing the modern and innovative aspects of crafts in South Thuringia.
Visitors can expect a variety of crafts on display, including sawing and milling, painting and varnishing, baking and decorating, welding and wiring. Experienced craftspeople will introduce apprenticeship opportunities, and workshops will be available for hands-on experiences.
The HWK South Thuringia will be on hand to provide answers to questions about apprenticeships and offer helpful tips for starting a career. Contacts or even holiday internships can be made at the event.
In addition to the educational aspects, "Handwerk all-in" will offer live music, a prize draw, activity points, and educational and entertaining performances. A master and further training consultation will also be available.
Proceeds from the cake stall will benefit the Mitteldeutschland Children's Hospice. Parking is available on and around the event site (Kloster 1, 98530 Rohr).
HWK President Mike KaΜmmer emphasizes the event's goal of inspiring students and families for the crafts and sparking interest in their careers. He encourages all visitors, including parents, grandparents, friends, and acquaintances, to attend the event.
A visit to "Handwerk all-in" is free of charge and does not require prior registration. So, mark your calendars and join us on the 13th of September for a day filled with crafts, learning, and potential career opportunities!
