Multiple individuals liberated from a vehicle in Tornesch
On Saturday morning at 9:15 AM, a severe traffic accident involving three cars occurred on Ahrenloher StraΓe in Tornesch.
The incident involved a BMW with a trailer, a Skoda, and another VW. Upon arrival, the Tornesch fire department, led by Einsatzleiter Detlef Hartwich and WehrfΓΌhrer Florian Jungclaus, assisted the rescue service in carefully extracting all those involved.
Each of the first two cars had two occupants, and the third car had one occupant, totaling five people involved in the accident. The VW had one person with light injuries, while both occupants of the Skoda were severely injured. One person was successfully revived after being extricated from the car.
The rescue service RKiSH deployed 11 personnel with 6 vehicles to the scene, and the fire department from Tornesch deployed 32 personnel with 4 vehicles. Hydraulic rescue equipment was used on the Skoda. A rescue helicopter was also deployed to the scene.
All those involved were transported to nearby hospitals. Upon completion of the rescue operation, approximately 50 minutes after the alarm was raised, the fire department absorbed any leaked fluids following the extraction of all individuals. The accident scene was cleared by 11:30 AM.
