The vulnerabilities affect Android OS versions 13, 14, 15, and 16, posing a potential threat to millions of users worldwide. Successful exploitation of these system weaknesses allows attackers to gain elevated privileges, extract sensitive information from devices, or even gain unauthorised access to sensitive data.

In response to this discovery, Google has taken swift action. The tech giant has developed and released patches to fix the vulnerabilities as part of their monthly security updates. The notable update released in early September 2025 was divided into two parts dated September 1 and September 5, addressing issues in the system, framework, runtime environment, and hardware components from ARM, MediaTek, Qualcomm, and others.
