Music charity experiences unexpected £61,400 donation from Alexander Armstrong, a generous move hailed as transformative.

In a heartwarming turn of events, the charity Global's Make Some Noise has awarded a grant of £61,400 to the Together Project, a North London-based charity that focuses on tackling loneliness and bringing generations together.

Established in 2017 by Louise Goulden, the Together Project runs 'Songs and Smiles' sessions that bring 0-4-year-olds, their grown-ups, and older people in care homes and assisted living together. Through the use of music, actions, and instruments, these sessions aim to build friendships, foster connections, and combat loneliness.

Thanks to Global's Make Some Noise and last year's national appeal, the Together Project received this generous grant. This funding will enable the charity to expand its activities, helping more people and potentially reaching more locations.

Louise, the charity founder, expressed shock and emotion upon learning about the grant. She shared, "It's beyond what I had expected. This grant will help us do more, reach more people, and make a bigger impact."

Global's Make Some Noise has been improving lives across the UK for over 10 years. The charity has supported various small charities, including those that focus on physical and mental health, improving life skills, and preventing isolation. Some of the charities that have received grants from Global's Make Some Noise include food banks, mental health and domestic violence helplines, carer support, community projects, and music therapy initiatives.

The grant received by the Together Project will undoubtedly help the charity continue its mission of tackling loneliness, building connections, and bringing joy and a sense of togetherness.
