"Music Event Promotes Harmony: The 'Concert of Encounter' Seeks to Combat Negativity and Discord Through Music"
Internationally renowned pianist Aeham Ahmad will be performing at a special concert in Solingen, Germany, on Sunday, September 1st. The event, titled "Concert of Encounter", will take place at Stadtkirche Mitte, Kirchplatz 14, starting at 5:00 PM.
The Evangelical Church in Solingen is organising this concert to commemorate the attack on Solingen's festival. Aeham Ahmad, who has performed in Solingen several times in the past, has expressed his desire to play for the people of Solingen and set a counterpoint to hatred, incitement, and division.
Besides Aeham Ahmad, numerous artists, including some from Solingen, will perform at the concert. Artists such as Petra Berghaus, Reinhard Finke, Saher Redur, Stephanie SchlΓΌter, Sinja Waldmann, Erwin Paech, Sascha Jori, and Klangvoll are among those scheduled to perform.
Aeham Ahmad, who has been living in Germany since 2015, gained worldwide fame as the "Pianist in Ruins" through his YouTube videos during the Syrian civil war. He grew up in Syria, studying piano in Damascus and Homs. Despite an injury to his left hand from a shrapnel wound, Aeham Ahmad has played numerous concerts advocating for peace and understanding.
Admission for the concert is free, making it an accessible event for all music lovers in the area. This promises to be a memorable evening of music and unity, as Aeham Ahmad and other local artists come together to celebrate Solingen's resilience and promote a message of peace and understanding.
