The 16th edition of the Niederrhein Music Festival is set to commence on August 30, 2020, and run through October 25. The festival will feature a diverse lineup of performances across various venues, with the opening event being a Jazz Open Air at Schloss Reuschenberg.

Schloss Reuschenberg, a new venue for the festival, is renowned for its changing art exhibitions. The Jazz Open Air will feature a young jazz quartet led by trumpeter Florian Gerhards and step dancer Dani Luka.

As the festival continues, Schloss Dyck's Open Air will host the WDR Funkhaus Trio on a subsequent Sunday. The trio will perform a captivating blend of "Schmaeh'" from the Vienna salons and Scott Joplin's iconic "The Entertainer".

On September 6, Schloss Dyck will welcome Peruvian musician Kathye Molina for a performance of "Classica Latina". The festival will also make its way to MĂśnchengladbach's Wickrathberg Church on October 4, but details about the artist and the work being presented are yet to be revealed.

The excellent guitarist Klaus Jäckle will perform Spanish and Italian compositions at the Kaarster Tuppenhof on September 12. The festival will conclude on October 25 in Dßsseldorf's Robert-Schumann-Saal, where actor Adnan Maral will present a performance titled "Turkish for Advanced".

The concerts at the Niederrhein Music Festival, with the exception of "Turkish for Advanced", will last approximately 60 minutes without a break. Mouth-nose protection can be removed once you have reached your seat during the concerts, and the required distance will be maintained throughout.

Festival director Anette Maiburg has photographed Schloss Reuschenberg, capturing its unique charm and elegance. No further details about the festival's rules or regulations are provided, but it is assured that the organisers are committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
