Music School Camp in Vrchlabi, Czech Republic, scheduled for June 16-22, 2025, featuring live performances in the city
In an exciting cultural exchange, our city is set to host two joint concerts with the Vrchlabi Music School from the Czech Republic. The partnership between the two music schools, which began in 2004, has fostered lasting friendships among many young musicians.
This year, the exchange is happening again, and the week will be marked by two thrilling events: a Chamber Concert on June 18, 2025, at Wehrkirche, our city-Kirchbauna, and an Orchestral Concert on June 20, 2025, at our city Music School.
The Orchestral Concert will feature the joint symphony orchestra of the music schools from Vrchlabi and our city, the choir of Vrchlabi Music School, and various ensembles. The Chamber Concert, on the other hand, will showcase chamber music works from various epochs. Both concerts have free admission, making them accessible to all music lovers.
The visit this year will also include a collaboration between the art schools of the two music schools. The students, parents, and teachers from our city are looking forward to welcoming guests from Vrchlabi. During their visit, the guests will be accommodated with German host families.
The city hosting students, parents, and teachers from our city's music school in collaboration is Prague, home to the Jaroslav Jezek Conservatory, a renowned institution involved in international youth music exchange programs.
