Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi, reportedly experiencing deteriorating heart health, is facing concerns as she remains in military detention, according to her son.

In a concerning turn of events, reports about the health of Aung San Suu Kyi, the former leader of Myanmar and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, have surfaced. Her children have publicly shared that she is currently experiencing worsening heart problems, bone, and gum issues.

These health concerns were first reported on September 7, 2022, due to serious concerns about her deteriorating health, specifically a severe heart disease. Since then, details about her treatment have remained scarce, and her exact location is unknown.

Aung San Suu Kyi is currently serving a 27-year sentence for offences including incitement, corruption, and election fraud, all of which she denies. She has requested to see a cardiologist, but it is unclear if this has happened.

Her son, Kim Aris, has made a public appeal on Facebook for Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners in Myanmar to be released. He also expressed concern about her health, stating it is impossible to know her current heart condition without proper medical examinations.

Meanwhile, the situation in Myanmar remains volatile. The violence that erupted following the February 2021 coup, which crushed mass rallies and sparked a widespread armed uprising, continues. The military's activities, including those of Min Aung Hlaing, are being reported on, while reports about Aung San Suu Kyi's health are being dismissed as fabricated.

In a recent development, the military chief Min Aung Hlaing is in China, meeting with President Xi Jinping and attending a military parade. Military spokesman Zaw Min Tun has stated that these reports about Aung San Suu Kyi's health are aimed at distracting from Min Aung Hlaing's visit to China.

Zaw Min Tun made these comments during an appearance on MRTV. Despite these dismissals, the international community continues to monitor the situation closely, expressing concern for Aung San Suu Kyi's health and the ongoing political crisis in Myanmar.
