Nashville-style music festival, Point/Arc Fest, will honor 'From Nashville to Newport' at the Newport Car Barn on September 27.

The Newport Car Barn is set to host the third annual music event for The Point/Arc, a 53-year-old Covington-based non-profit agency that services individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This year, the event, previously known as Boots 'n Brews, will be rebranded as Point/Arc Point-Fest, following a theme suggested by one of the artists, John Lawrie, and coinciding with the theme "Nashville to Newport".

The event, scheduled for Saturday, September 27, from 4 p.m. to midnight, will take place at the Newport Car Barn, located at 1102 Brighton Street. The transformation of the venue will aim to create a festival/concert feel, separating it from other events.

The admission price for attendees aged 18 and above is $50, which includes free valet. Tickets can be purchased at 859-491-9191 Ext. 110 or online at thepointarc.org/events.

WUBE, B-105 (105.1 FM) - radio's country giant, is the media sponsor for the event. Seven artists, including Kyndal Inskeep, Gracie Carol, Eli Winders, Grace Serene, Chace Saunders, Jay Jackson, Cam G & The Tasty Soul, will perform multi-genre sets throughout the evening.

Judi Gerding, Founder and President of The Point/Arc, stated that sponsors are key to their events. This year, Granite World, Hilltop Companies, Maile Tekulve & Gray, Bilz Insurance, Auto-Owners Insurance, and Vivitec have come on board as sponsors for the event.

The Point/Arc was founded by a group of parents fighting for the educational rights of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their mission is to help people with disabilities achieve their highest potential. The event aims to be a fun afternoon/evening for the entire community, with non-stop music and dancing, food and drinks available, and a festive atmosphere.

Despite extensive searches, there are no relevant search results identifying John Lawrie or his involvement in renaming the Point-Fest from Boots 'n Brews or his statement about bringing Nashville to Newport. However, his influence as an artist is evident in the theme and rebranding of this year's event.
