On a crisp Sunday morning, the 47th edition of the Hochgrat run took place in the picturesque town of Oberstaufen-Steibis. Organised by TSV 1862 Oberstaufen e.V., this annual event attracted mountain runners from various regions.

The 196 endurance athletes faced challenging terrains and weather conditions as they set off at sunrise, with the goal of reaching the highest peak of the Nagelfluh chain. The children's run, a separate event within the Hochgrat run, also took place concurrently.

A total of 18 young athletes participated in the children's run, which was designed to give them a taste of the thrill of a long-distance run. The children's run concluded before the main Hochgrat run, allowing the young athletes to cheer on the endurance runners as they tackled the steep and rocky trails.

The 196 endurance athletes completed the Hochgrat run successfully, reaching the summit of the Nagelfluh chain. This achievement is a testament to their endurance and determination, and serves as inspiration for the younger generation of runners.
