Nation initiates National Book Review Contest in DNLU Jabalpur; deadline for submissions is September 25th
Dharmashastra National Law University Hosts National Book Review Competition
Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU) in Jabalpur is hosting a National Book Review Competition, opening its doors to undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, practitioners, and academicians from the field of law and allied disciplines. The competition deadline is fast approaching on September 25, 2025.
This competition encourages participants to engage with significant legal literature by submitting original, insightful reviews of a scholarly book relevant to one of the prescribed themes. The themes include Indian Constitution, Human Rights, Social Justice, Criminal Law and Criminal Justice, Environmental and Climate Law, Law and Technology, Legal Theory and Jurisprudence, Law of Evidence, Intellectual Property Law, International Trade Law, Legal Biography/Memoir, and more.
Submissions should be between 1500 to 2000 words (excluding bibliography) and use Times New Roman font size 12 pt. They should be well-structured, academic in tone, and reflect critical engagement with the book. The registration fee for single authorship is ₹250, and for co-authorship (up to two authors), it is ₹400.
All the selected review chapters will be published in an edited book with an ISBN number. For queries, participants can contact [email protected].
The competition will be rigorous, with the top 10 reviews shortlisted for an online presentation round. The final selection will be based on the quality of both the paper and the presentation. As an added incentive, winners will receive certificates, with the first prize worth ₹4000, the second prize worth ₹2500, and the third prize worth ₹1500.
