New Construction Area in Kronsrode, Kattenbrookstrip: Identified Brand of Building Materials Used in Recently Completed Project by FW Hannover

In the heart of Hannover, a fire broke out in the Kronsrode new development area on Thursday afternoon. The incident, which was first reported at around 3:00 PM, involved burning construction materials cordoned off with construction fences.

Fire Station 3 and the local fire department of Bemerode swiftly responded to the scene. Initially, the response was to a burning trash container, but it was soon discovered that the materials involved were predominantly plastic construction materials. This caused significant smoke development, making the fire visible far beyond Hannover's city limits.

A total of 34 firefighters and 11 vehicles were involved in the firefighting effort. The operation to extinguish the fire was completed at 4:00 PM, with the first responders successfully managing to contain the blaze, making the second fire engine unnecessary.

Following the extinguishing of the fire, follow-up operations were carried out to check stairwells of nearby residential buildings for smoke. The extent of the damage caused by the fire is currently unknown.

At this time, no statements can be made about the cause of the fire. The police have taken over the investigation into the cause of the fire, and further information can be obtained from the Fire Department Hannover.
