The first day of their apprenticeship was marked by a meeting with the board and a rally through the main administration in Remscheid. The newcomers were encouraged by Chairman Andreas Otto and his colleague Henning Wichart to ask questions and not be afraid to make mistakes.
Henning Wichart, who started his career as a Volksbank apprentice 27 years ago, told the new employees that they had chosen a well-established bank that is dedicated to the region and feels like a big family. Chairman Otto echoed these sentiments, expressing optimism about the future of the apprentices who are committed at Volksbank in Bergisches Land.
During their apprenticeship, the apprentices will work in various branches and specialist departments. They will also be accompanied by an internal trainer throughout their training period. The rally was organized by the 2024 apprentice class for the newcomers, providing them with a first insight into the world of Bergisches cooperative bank during the introduction days.
The chairmen and their colleague Christian Fried expressed confidence in the future of the apprentices, emphasizing the bank's commitment to supporting and nurturing its trainees.
