New Release: Bajaj Chetak 3001 Priced at ₹99,990
New Bajaj Chetak 3001 Offers Stress-Free Commute at Affordable Price
Bajaj Auto has launched the new Chetak 3001, an urban electric scooter designed to provide a hassle-free commuting experience at an affordable price.
Priced at ₹99,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Chetak 3001 is more affordable than its immediate rivals while still offering a reliable ride. This latest model comes with a 3.0 kWh battery, an upgrade from the previous 2.9 kWh battery pack, and boasts a range of 127 km IDC, a 4 km increase from its predecessor.
The new Chetak 3001 retains the overall design of the existing range but incorporates changes made to the Chetak 35 series, including improved frame stiffness and better riding dynamics. Bajaj also offers a 750W charger as standard with the new Chetak 3001, which can charge 0-80% of the battery in 3 hours and 50 minutes.
One of the standout features of the new Chetak 3001 is its large under-seat storage space of 35 litres, one of the largest in its class. The scooter also comes with a widespread service network, providing peace of mind for potential buyers.
The new Chetak 3001 can be purchased with the Tec Pac accessories package as an option. This package includes call accept/reject, music control, guide me home lights, hill-hold assist, reverse light, and auto flashing stop lamp.
In comparison, the base version of the TVS iQube, priced at ₹94,434 (ex-showroom, Delhi), is powered by a 2.2 kWh battery pack. Meanwhile, the larger 3.5 kWh S variant of the TVS iQube costs ₹1.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
However, the Ola S1 X, priced a few thousand rupees less than the Chetak 3001, has a similar battery pack. Yet, reliability is a big issue for Ola. Currently, no companies offer e-scooters with a battery capacity of 3.0 kWh that directly compete with the Bajaj Auto Chetak 3001 in its price range. Models like the Niu NQiX 500 have higher capacity (~4 kWh) but differ in pricing and specifications, while popular e-scooters such as the Navee GT3 have significantly lower battery capacity (~596 Wh) and thus do not compare at the 3.0 kWh level.
In conclusion, the new Bajaj Chetak 3001 offers a stress-free commuting experience at an affordable price, with a larger battery capacity, improved range, and a widespread service network. Its large under-seat storage and optional Tec Pac accessories package further enhance its appeal, making it a strong contender in the urban electric scooter market.
