The city of Gütersloh is expanding its workforce with the addition of 45 young individuals this year. Mayor Matthias Trepper welcomed these new career starters in a ceremony held recently.

These young individuals will be starting their careers within the city's infrastructure, including the administrative, IT, educational, rescue, and fire services. This brings the total number of new careers initiated with the city in 2025 to 45.

Trepper congratulated the new career starters for their success in a strong field of applicants. He addressed the entire administration, stating that the new team of over 1,700 employees includes people who work for the city and its citizens every day.

The new career starters include ten dual students in the Bachelor of Laws (General Administrative Service), two students in the Bachelor of Arts (Administrative Informatics), three trainees for administrative management assistants, and one specialist in system integration.

In addition to these, the institution "Die Zieglerschen" took a total of 45 young people into their service in 2025. They admitted 24 young people from India in April to train as nursing specialists or nursing assistants at 13 locations.

The induction week will give the new colleagues the opportunity to get to know the city administration and its areas of responsibility, receive important information for daily work, and make first contacts with each other. This is an important step in integrating the new team into the city's workforce.

The new career starters are crucial to the city due to the emphasis on comprehensive and qualified training. Trepper emphasized that these young individuals will play a significant role in shaping the future of the city of Gütersloh.

In summary, the city of Gütersloh is providing employment opportunities to 45 young individuals in 2025, and these new careers are being created across various sectors of the city's infrastructure. This influx of young talent is a positive step towards ensuring the city's continued growth and development.
