Top Pick Travis Hunter Makes Impact
Travis Hunter, the No. 2 pick in this year's draft out of Colorado, made his mark in Week 1 as a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hunter played 44 of Jacksonville's 63 snaps on offense, contributing to their 26-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Liam Coen, the Jaguars' offensive coordinator, expects Hunter's role to expand and evolve in future games.
Hunter, who was previously coached by Deion Sanders at Jackson State University, missed 10 days of defensive practice during the preseason due to an injury and was absent from key defensive meetings. However, his offensive debut was a promising start to his professional career.
Micah Parsons Makes Green Bay Debut
Micah Parsons, who was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers, also made his debut in Week 1. Parsons, who signed a record-breaking new contract with the Packers, played 29 of Green Bay's 65 defensive snaps in their 27-13 win over the Detroit Lions.
