Nio's annual event, Nio Day, scheduled for 2025, set to occur on the 20th of September in Hangzhou.
Nio, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced that its annual event, Nio Day 2025, will take place on September 20 at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center, Hall 5. The main event will run from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The highlight of the event will be the official launch of the third-generation Nio ES8 SUV. The new model comes standard with a 100-kWh battery pack, leading to further price cuts. Pre-sales for the third-generation ES8 started on August 21, and it has already outperformed the pre-sales performance of the Onvo L90 SUV. Under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) plan, the third-generation ES8 starts at RMB 308,800.
In addition to the third-generation ES8, Nio is expected to roll out a special edition Firefly EV at Nio Day 2025. The Firefly EV started deliveries in Norway and the Netherlands on August 14, marking its official entry into overseas markets.
User registrations for Nio Day 2025 started at 11:00 am on September 5. However, no new information about the event's main theme, "Grow with the Light", was provided.
Nio's full lineup now comes standard with a 100-kWh long-range pack. The company is aiming to reach a production capacity of 10,000 units for the new ES8 in October, and 15,000 units in December.
