Yesterday afternoon, a tragic accident occurred on the Bossendorfer Damm in Recklinghausen. The incident involved multiple seriously injured individuals and resulted in one fatality.
According to the initial report from Police Headquarters Recklinghausen, transmitted via news aktuell, a 54-year-old woman from Bochum was driving her car towards FlΓ€scheim. For unknown reasons, she veered into oncoming traffic and collided with an oncoming car.
The other vehicle was driven by a 78-year-old driver from Dorsten, accompanied by three men aged 56, 58, and 80. Tragically, the 80-year-old passenger from Dorsten died at the scene of the accident. The other occupants of the Dorsten vehicle were seriously and critically injured.
The 59-year-old passenger in the Bochum woman's car also suffered critical injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the accident on Bossendorfer Damm in Recklinghausen are ongoing.
