Numerous political offenses reported
In recent times, Germany has witnessed a concerning increase in political crimes, with approximately 4,000 cases of violence associated with political crimes and around 10,000 cases of left-extreme crimes, many of which are attacks against the police.
These crimes are not confined to a single political spectrum. Both extreme-right and extreme-left individuals have been implicated in these incidents.
On the extreme-right side, the "SΓ€chsische Separatisten," a right-wing group, has been under scrutiny. This week, the police arrested five juveniles belonging to this group, accused of planning violent actions aimed at establishing a state oriented towards National Socialism. The arrested youths are also alleged to have been members of a terrorist organization and were preparing a high treasonous enterprise.
Extreme-right crimes, such as attacks on individuals due to their skin color or religion, have seen the most significant increase, with approximately 43,000 cases. This rise in extremist activities has been accompanied by increased prejudice against foreigners, people with disabilities, Jews, or Muslims.
On the extreme-left side, some individuals seek to change the entire state, with some even advocating for the abolition of democracy. Some extreme-left individuals have been known to resort to violence, attacking police or neo-Nazis. They also believe that the rich have too much influence.
Propaganda, a tool used to influence people and change their thinking, behaviour, and feelings, has been a common tactic in these extremist groups. It can be delivered through various mediums such as speeches, posters, news articles, and social media. Propaganda often involves spreading misinformation or biased information to manipulate public opinion.
The use of propaganda can be seen extensively in warfare to convince the population about the war. However, it is not limited to warfare and can be used in various contexts to promote ideologies or agendas.
Germany has several extreme-right parties, contributing to the rise in extreme-right crimes. It is crucial for society to remain vigilant and promote unity in the face of these divisive actions.
