Nuremberg film starring Russell Crowe leaves audience and actor in a state of shock during its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, with Crowe reportedly disturbed by his role as a Nazi figure.

In the world of cinema, there's always something new and exciting on the horizon. Here's a look at some forthcoming films and the standout performances they promise.

First up, Alice Winocour's Couture, which had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film delves into human stories within the often superficial realm of fashion. Angelina Jolie graced the screen in this production, portraying a character reminiscent of her own real-life experiences.

Couture follows an American filmmaker diagnosed with cancer, requiring a double mastectomy, a plotline similar to Jolie's health journey. The film does not yet have a release date, but anticipation is high.

Meanwhile, Russell Crowe delivers a captivating performance in James Vanderbilt's Nuremberg. Crowe portrays Hermann Goering, a role that drew an unusually lengthy standing ovation. In this film, Goering's character believes he can use the Nuremberg trials to justify his actions, while being depicted as charming, smart, and wily.

The movie is based on Jack El-Hai's book "The Nazi and the Psychiatrist" and also stars Rami Malek. Nuremberg premiered at the Toronto film festival and has been praised for its unrelenting portrayal of historical events, with Crowe's performance being singled out as stunning.

Moving on to another highly anticipated film, Hamnet, set to hit theatres in November. This movie explores the little-known aspects of William Shakespeare and his wife's life, and the tragedy that inspired his greatest work. Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley star in this production, and it's expected to be an Academy Awards contender.

Chloe Zhao, the director of Eternals, walked the red carpet for Hamnet. This isn't the only notable performance from a well-known actor in recent films. Channing Tatum's role in Roofman helped him overcome "imposter syndrome." The film tells the true story of Jeffrey Manchester, who robbed dozens of McDonald's and hid out in a toy store. Roofman is scheduled for release next month.

Lastly, in Roofman, Crowe spoke German in parts of the movie, adding another layer to his versatile acting career. As the Toronto International Film Festival continues until next Sunday, there's plenty more to look forward to in the world of cinema.
