One individual lost their life, while four others were injured in a shooting incident reported by NYPD.
In a tragic turn of events, a shooting occurred in Baltimore on Saturday night, leaving one person dead and four others injured. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. on Burke Avenue and Wickham Avenue, near Haffen Park.
According to the New York City Police Department, a 17-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound to her face and was listed in critical condition at the hospital. Sadly, a 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to his chest.
Two adults, a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, were also shot and are currently in stable condition, having suffered gunshot wounds to their backs. A 42-year-old man had a gunshot wound to his arm and is also in stable condition.
Three other victims, whose identities and conditions are not yet known, transported themselves to hospitals following the shooting.
Reports suggest that the shooting may be gang-related, as per the New York Post. The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
At the time of the shooting, a large crowd was watching a basketball tournament nearby. Multiple guns were recovered from the scene, but further details about the weapons have not been disclosed.
The police have arrested the shooter in connection with the incident, but no other information about the suspect has been released yet.
