The upcoming week in Germany promises a changeable weather pattern, with showers and thunderstorms expected to dominate, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).

Starting from Monday, some regions in the south and east of Germany may rejoice in well-filled rain barrels, as the showers are expected to be quite substantial. The eastern half of the country, in particular, is predicted to have more pleasant weather at the start of the week.

As we move towards Tuesday, the weather forecast suggests a focus on North Rhine-Westphalia. According to meteorologist Magdalena Bertelmann of DWD, Tuesday will see further outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms, with occasional heavy rain. In the western half of Germany, clouds, rain, and heavy thunderstorms are expected to dominate.

However, the eastern half of Germany, from the Baltic Sea to the Erzgebirge, will enjoy sunny conditions with temperatures between 21 to 25 degrees. The exact location of the largest rainfall amounts is still uncertain.

By Tuesday evening, temperatures will rise to 21 to 26 degrees, with the highest values from the LΓΌneburg Heath to the Erzgebirge foothills. The motto for the upcoming weekend, according to Bertelmann, is: "There will be rain here and there, but not everyone will get wet."

As we approach Wednesday, the weather in the west of Germany will be cloudy, with no significant rain. However, there is a risk of heavy rain, especially from the Eifel to the Upper Rhine Lowland, according to DWD. The lowest temperatures will be 15 to 7 degrees.

By the night into Wednesday, rain in the west will gradually subside, but the cloud cover will remain. The south of Germany and the east in the night to Thursday will experience rain. The temperatures in the south of Germany will range between a maximum of 17 degrees, while the temperatures at the Neiße will be 24 degrees.

The exact location of the largest rainfall amounts on Wednesday and Thursday is still uncertain. Temperatures will drop to 13 to 6 degrees by the night into Wednesday.

In conclusion, the upcoming week in Germany is expected to be a mix of sunshine and showers, with temperatures fluctuating across the country. Be sure to keep an eye on the weather forecast and stay prepared for any changes.
