In the heart of Arnsberg, the Wendepunkt counseling centre has been a beacon of hope for individuals and families affected by addiction for the past 25 years. The Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation, an integral part of the LWL Rehabilitation Centre Southwest Westphalia, has been a cornerstone of regional support.

The programme, led by psychologist Barbara Menk for the past quarter of a century, has been praised by the Wendepunkt counseling team for its flexible and locally accessible services. The Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation offers a daily-life-oriented and individually planned therapy that can be easily combined with work and family life.

Barbara Menk, who has shown great commitment to her work, expressed her joy in the cooperative partnership with Wendepunkt. She highlighted the importance of their combined efforts, stating, "We have looked back on 25 years of 'ups and downs as well as consistent further development'."

The Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation programme is designed for individuals with alcohol, medication, or drug addiction. It includes individual and group conversations, social counseling, support for professional reintegration, and support for relatives. Dr. Angelika Schelte, the medical director of the Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation team, oversees these comprehensive services.

The programme's central location in Neheim ensures a low-threshold support offer due to its accessibility. The close cooperation with the partner organization Suchthilfe Wendepunkt of the city of Arnsberg, located in the same building, guarantees short distances and reliable care.

The 25th anniversary of the Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation was celebrated at the Wendepunkt counseling centre in Arnsberg. Susanne Beyer, the director of the Arnsberg Wendepunkt, and the Wendepunkt counseling team congratulated the management team of the LWL Rehabilitation Centre. Barbara Menk and her team received heartfelt accolades for their dedication and hard work.

The Wendepunkt counseling centre assists with questions regarding alcohol, medication, illegal drugs, gambling addiction, and other issues. Its services extend to those directly affected, as well as to those close to them, employers, and colleagues. The centre's mission is to provide counseling, information, and support, fostering a community of healing and recovery.

The Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation has become an indispensable part of the regional addiction support network. Over the years, it has successfully supported people with addiction issues, making a significant difference in countless lives. As it continues to evolve and grow, the Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation remains committed to its mission of helping individuals overcome addiction and rebuild their lives.
