Bundesliga: BHC Prepares for TVB Stuttgart Match with Key Changes

The Bergischer HC (BHC) is gearing up for their next Bundesliga match against TVB Stuttgart, with some significant changes to their squad. Lukas Becher, a player with Bundesliga experience, will be stepping in on the left wing for the BHC, having grown up at the club and recently returned.

Becher's return provides the team with additional Bundesliga experience, which could prove crucial in their quest for points. The BHC has also called up Søren Servos to the squad due to concerns about Tomas Babak's back problems. Servos is expected to strengthen the team in the left backcourt position, but his participation was initially uncertain due to a previous abdominal muscle strain.

However, the BHC's preparations are not just focused on new faces. Coach Arnor Gunnarsson has been working tirelessly to ensure his team is ready for the challenges ahead. He has been preparing his team for Antonio Metzner's shooting power in the upcoming game, and Gunnarsson also mentioned Andri Runarsson as a good addition to Erlangen's team.

The BHC's first game of the season didn't go as planned, as they lost to the reigning German champions Füchse Berlin with a score of 27:39. Despite a respectable performance, the team rushed too much and hurried their shots when they fell behind, resulting in a merciless punishing by Füchse Berlin. Gunnarsson, however, was satisfied with the team's performance for the first 43 minutes, citing the creation of chances and a patient positional attack.

The team will be without Belal Massoud for their first home match due to a muscle fiber tear. On the other hand, Erlangen's Maciej Gebala and Florian Scheerer often form the center, with Christoph Steinert defending on the half position. Sander Overjordet and Viggo Kristjansson are key players for Erlangen, with Kristjansson being a decisive player in the relegation battle a few months ago.

As the BHC looks to get their first points of the season, the chances might be better against Erlangen than against Füchse Berlin. Gunnarsson emphasizes the importance of keeping composure for future games, and the team expresses their desire to win and take opportunities. With the addition of Becher and Servos, and the team's increased stability compared to the previous two seasons, the BHC is hopeful for a successful outing against TVB Stuttgart.
