The Moscow region is experiencing a prolonged heatwave, according to a report from Russia's Hydrometeorological Center. Roman Vilfand, the scientific director of the centre, has previously warned that severe heat is expected to persist in Moscow until the end of the working week, with temperatures exceeding 30°C and nighttime temperatures in the city centre not dropping below 20°C.

The current nighttime low in the Moscow region is expected to be +13°C, while the daytime temperature will range from +28°C to +30°C. The atmospheric pressure will be slightly above the climatic norm, and easterly winds will blow at speeds of 3-8 m/s.

The humidity in the reported area will range from 45% to 85%, which may cause discomfort, particularly in urban conditions. Specialists from the "Meteonovosti" portal have warned that headaches, general weakness, irritability, and blood pressure fluctuations may occur as a result of the heat.

However, the radiation situation remains undisturbed, and solar activity is mainly low, with possible M-class flares. The geomagnetic field is generally quiet, but occasionally experiences periods of instability.

It's important to note that the elderly and young children are particularly sensitive to the current heat. People are advised to take precautions to protect themselves from the heat, such as staying hydrated, wearing loose-fitting clothing, and seeking shade when possible.

The Institute of Physics of the Earth named after A.I. Fel'dbaum has reported that the temperature in Russia's capital will drop overnight into July 30, to +15°C. Overnight into the 30th, the temperature in the Moscow region will also drop, although the exact figures are not yet available.

As the heatwave continues, it's crucial to stay informed and take necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy.
