Overnight transport operation: Vehicle transition from car to truck at Pol-BI facility
On August 28, 2025, a collision occurred on the A2 highway near Bielefeld, Germany. The accident, which took place between the exits Oelde and Herzebrock-Clarholz, involved a BMW X5 and a truck.
According to the police, the truck was in the lane to the right of the BMW at the time of the collision. The driver of the BMW, a 61-year-old man from Herne, fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in the unfortunate incident.
The BMW driver suffered severe injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported to a hospital. Fortunately, the truck involved in the accident was not specified to have any injuries. The truck trailer sustained minor damage, while the total estimated damage from the accident is approximately 10,000 euros.
