Parkway Drive Set to Reach Arena Status in Europe this Autumn

Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive is gearing up for a monumental tour this autumn, as they kick off their 20th-anniversary tour in Leipzig, Germany, on September 19. The tour will see the band perform in some of Europe's most iconic venues, including a stop at the 12,500-capacity Wembley Arena in London on October 4.

The band's journey to arena status began with their international breakthrough in 2010 with the release of Deep Blue. The album, produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam D, charted in the UK, US, New Zealand, Austria, and other markets. Parkway Drive's music was characterized by Adam Dutkiewicz, who worked with the band during their early years, as having clarity, precision, and a defining sound for a generation.

Parkway Drive's music style was further developed with the help of Adam Dutkiewicz, who was contacted by the band's guitarist Luke Kilpatrick to work on their debut album. Prior to Killing With A Smile, Parkway Drive's music was described as "riff salad" by Adam Dutkiewicz. However, with the release of Killing With A Smile and Horizons (2007), Parkway Drive began to establish themselves in Australia, with Horizons hitting number six on the album charts Down Under.

The band's latest album, Darker Still, released in 2022, was produced by Drew Fulk. The album topped the charts in Australia and broke the top 10 in Austria and Germany. Darker Still also received critical acclaim, with many praising the band's evolution and maturity in their sound.

Adam Dutkiewicz encouraged Parkway Drive to focus on the best parts of their songs, helping the band to hone their craft and create some of their most memorable music to date. The band's music lacked clean singing before Killing With A Smile, but the addition of clean vocals helped to elevate their sound and appeal to a wider audience.

The tour dates for Parkway Drive's 2025 European tour have been announced, with three UK shows scheduled. Fans can expect an unforgettable night of music as Parkway Drive reaches arena status in Europe this autumn.
