On Sunday evening, a car accident occurred on the B9 in Rheinhessen at around 21:00. The incident resulted from a passenger pulling the handbrake during the drive, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

According to reports, the passenger was allegedly heavily intoxicated and the disagreements were about the destination of the trip. The passenger's actions, out of anger, led to a collision that involved a vehicle traveling from Trechtingshausen towards Bingen.

As a result of the accident, the B9 was completely closed for about an hour. Three occupants of the car were slightly injured and taken to nearby hospitals, but fortunately, no injury was reported for the passenger.

The passenger will face criminal charges, including accusations of dangerous interference with road traffic, possible bodily harm, and driving under the influence. A blood sample was taken from the passenger for further investigation.

The name of the intoxicated passenger has not been publicly disclosed. The police checked the passenger at the scene, and it is alleged that the passenger was drunk during the incident.

The car crashed into a wall in Trechtingshausen, causing significant damage. The authorities are currently investigating the incident, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
