Geraldine "Jeri" Maes, a woman known for her courage and resilience, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on October 6, 1947.
Jeri's life was marked by love and devotion, particularly towards her family. She leaves behind a loving husband, whose birth date is not publicly available, as well as five children: Ronald Sandoval, Deanna Newsom, Don Newsom, Joseph Maes, and Holly Maes. Jeri was also a proud grandmother to many grandchildren.
Sadly, Jeri was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Sandoval, and three siblings Margaret Garcia, Dolores Anaya, and Severo Sanchez Jr. However, she is survived by her sisters Dorothy Parker and Virginia Saavedra.
In honour of Jeri's life, a Celebration of Life will be held on September 5, 2025, at the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services Mortuary in Albuquerque, NM. For those who wish to pay their respects but are unable to attend, a burial service will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM.
