Performance upgrade for Tesla Model Y debuts in European markets

Tesla Launches New Model Y Performance in Europe

Tesla has officially launched the new Model Y Performance in Europe, marking a significant addition to the company's electric vehicle lineup. The new model boasts several upgrades, including Tesla's highest-resolution 16-inch QHD central touchscreen and a host of performance-enhancing features.

The new Model Y Performance is equipped with new high-density battery cells, which Tesla attributes to the vehicle's improved range. According to EPA cycle estimates, the new model offers up to 308 miles of range.

The exterior of the new Model Y Performance has been revamped with new front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber spoiler, and staggered wheels and tires. Acoustic glass and premium sound-damping materials ensure a quieter cabin, while ambient lighting in the footwells and door pockets add a touch of luxury.

Inside the vehicle, ventilated and heated sport seats with added bolstering and power thigh extensions in the front provide comfort and support. Second-row passengers get perforated, heated seats with power recline. The new model also features a unique drive mode system for additional freedom at higher speeds.

High-performance brakes with improved pedal feel and heat management under stress ensure safe and efficient stopping power. The new Model Y Performance also benefits from a new adaptive damping system for better handling.

Orders for the Model Y Performance can be placed through Tesla's online configurator, starting today, but only in Europe. Deliveries of the model are expected to begin over the next month or two.

The launch of the new Model Y Performance may help Tesla reverse its ongoing sales slump in Europe. The company recently celebrated building its 100,000th refreshed Model Y at its Giga Berlin factory, owned by Tesla, Inc., the American electric vehicle manufacturer led by CEO Elon Musk.

The new Model Y Performance will be available in other markets later. However, a week ago, Tesla unveiled a six-seat Model Y L, exclusive to China.

The new Model Y Performance is currently on display at select Tesla sales centers across Europe. With its impressive performance, range, and features, the new model is set to make a strong impact in the European market.
