Perry's Misha Mansoor showcases bloodshed while transforming into a home shopping TV host, unveiling advanced 7-string Juggernauts from Jackson, the pinnacle of shred guitar technology.
Jackson, in partnership with Misha Mansoor, has expanded its signature collection with three new 7-string guitars. The latest additions to the Juggernaut series, the HT7 and HT7P, are now available for purchase.
The HT7 comes in two vibrant finishes: Signal Yellow and Silverburst Sparkle, while the HT7P boasts a unique Chlorine Burst finish with poplar burl veneer. Both guitars feature asymmetrical arrowhead-style 4x3 headstocks with die-cast locking tuners in black.
Mansoor's touch is evident in the fingerboard of these new guitars, which features offset dot inlays. The fingerboard is adorned with 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side markers help with counting frets in low light. The necks have a flatter than typical 20" radius ebony board, and the edges have been rolled for comfort.
Each of the new guitars is equipped with Mansoor's MM1 electric guitar pickups, high-output passive humbuckers designed in collaboration with Mansoor. The wiring setup offers five core tones from a 5-way blade selector switch, with master volume and tone control, the latter featuring a push/pull function.
The guitars boast a longer scale, measuring in at 26.5", with solid poplar bodies and bolt-on roasted maple necks with an oiled-back finish. The necks have been reinforced with carbon fibre rods to withstand the rigours of the road or intense home practice.
The Pro Series Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT7 and HT7P are currently manufactured and available in the USA. After debuting his signature guitar with an EverTune bridge in April, these new guitars feature string-through-body hardtail bridges as standard.
Mansoor's introduction of his new Juggernaut as "the ultimate in shrednology" suggests it is designed for advanced guitar playing, particularly in the progressive metal genre. However, Mansoor does mention a slight feel and tone tax with EverTune bridges, preferring a good hardtail bridge for the best sound.
The HT7P is priced at £1,149, and the regular HT7s are priced £1,099. For more details and to purchase, visit the Jackson website. Mansoor also hints at the possibility of an 8-string guitar with an EverTune in the future.
In conclusion, the new Pro Series Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT7 and HT7P guitars offer a unique blend of style, performance, and advanced features, making them an attractive choice for progressive metal guitarists.
