Person aiming to break the record for the most rollercoasters ridden in a week sets sights on new difficulty
In a thrilling turn of events, British adventurer Dean Stokes has set his sights on Germany for his next rollercoaster challenge. Known for his daring exploits and love for adrenaline-pumping rides, Stokes is drawn to Germany's amazing theme parks and the country's picturesque landscapes, making it an ideal destination for his next adventure.
Stokes recently took a two-week break from work to embark on a rollercoaster challenge, during which he aimed to break the Guinness World Record by riding as many thrill or extreme rollercoasters as possible in a week. With around 112 such rollercoasters in Germany, Bottrop city seems to be the likely choice for his next record-breaking attempt.
In the UK, Stokes's record-breaking trip lasted 16 days and involved riding 108 rollercoasters. His most memorable ride was Hyperia at Thorpe Park in Surrey, while Icon at Blackpool Pleasure Beach was a ride he could enjoy "all day" due to its two launches and "super fun" nature.
Stokes's rollercoaster challenge was not just about breaking records; it was also an opportunity for him to have some fun and push past the fear of judgment. He was joined by his friend and former colleague, Simon Fasolo, during his UK expedition, even though Fasolo doesn't particularly enjoy rollercoasters.
Despite the challenges posed by Storm Floris, which temporarily disrupted several theme parks, Stokes managed to complete his UK rollercoaster challenge. His journey was documented on social media as a way to share his experiences with friends and family, but the response was far greater than he could have imagined.
Stokes's rollercoaster challenge video on social media received over 100,000 views on the first video and more than one million views on TikTok. Encouraged by the response, Stokes believes that a little bit of joy and happiness in life is never a bad thing, especially during challenging times.
As he prepares for his next challenge in Germany, Stokes is eager to pass on the rollercoaster record-breaking baton to the next person. He believes his record is "super beatable" and encourages others to apply for a Guinness World Record to break it.
In the spirit of sharing the joy of rollercoasters, Stokes urges everyone to "get out there and have more fun". After all, life is too short to not enjoy the thrill of a rollercoaster ride!
