Person in Grave Dilemma as Pinned Under Heavy Vehicle at FW Hannover
In the heart of Hannover, an unfortunate incident occurred on Berliner Allee when a collision between a truck and a cyclist took place in the Hannover-Mitte district.
The incident, which occurred around midday, left a 73-year-old woman severely injured. Emergency services, including the fire department and paramedics, immediately swung into action, treating the victim at the scene.
The fire department, along with the Hannover Fire Department, deployed their technical equipment to free the trapped victim from beneath the truck. The operation, which was complex and required skillful maneuvering, continued until approximately 3:40 PM.
The truck driver, remarkably, remained unscathed in the incident.
In an effort to ensure the safety of all involved and to facilitate the rescue operation, Berliner Allee was completely closed in the city centre. The Hannover Regional Control Center also dispatched an ambulance and a paramedic in addition to the fire engine.
Following the rescue, the victim was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
The police have taken over the investigation of the accident, and as such, the Fire Department cannot provide information on the cause of the incident. The identity of the police officer leading the investigation remains undisclosed in the available sources.
