Person rescued by helicopter and transported to hospital following fall accident
Hattingen Fire Department Responds to Severe Injury Incident
Yesterday afternoon, at 13:01, the Hattingen Fire Department was alerted to a first responder incident where a woman had fallen on the street and sustained severe head injuries. The Elfringhausen fire station and the full-time station were both alerted to secure the landing site for a rescue helicopter.
Upon arrival, firefighters and an ambulance crew provided initial first aid. However, upon the arrival of an ambulance and a paramedic, the crew took over further care of the severely injured woman. The severity of the injury led to the decision to request a rescue helicopter for transporting the patient to a maximum care hospital.
The woman was flown to the hospital by rescue helicopter, and the incident was reported by the Hattingen Fire Department via news aktuell.
