In the early hours of Wednesday, 25.06, a 36-year-old Albanian man was provisionally arrested by the Rhein-Kreis Neuss Police Department following a break-in at a pharmacy on Bergheimer Street.

The incident occurred around midnight, and the trio responsible for the break-in smashed or threw in the glass entrance door of the pharmacy before making off with two cash drawers from the sales area.

Witnesses alerted the police, leading to a search that involved several patrol cars, a police dog handler, and a police helicopter. The suspect was found lying face down in a bush in a playground on "An der Barriere" street.

The two other suspects, who were seen or questioned by witnesses before fleeing, managed to escape in different directions. One of them was spotted running a red light near the intersection to Karl-Theodor-Straße.

The location of the suspect's arrest was a playground on "An der Barriere" street. However, the alleged accomplices could not be found. The suspect, as of yet, has not commented on the charges against him.
