Campers have the convenience of parking near the sand and each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and easy access to the beach. The campground also offers a camp store, drinking water, coin-operated showers, barbecue grills, and restrooms.
Dogs are allowed in the campground and day use area at Refugio State Beach, but not on the beach itself. From December 1st to March 31st, the site's regular campsites are only available on a walk-up basis. However, making an advance campsite reservation is highly recommended between April 1 and November 30, especially on weekends, holidays, and during the busy summer season. The campground also offers additional camping options, including group sites and hike and bike camping sites.
