Police are on the hunt for a driver who fled the scene of a car accident in Selm, Poland.

On the afternoon of July 13, 2025, a hit-and-run accident occurred on Cappenberger Damm in Selm. The incident involved a 54-year-old man from Lünen who was riding a motorcycle.

According to the police, an unknown driver of a car came towards the motorcyclist in a slight left curve and took up 2/3 of the lane. The motorcyclist had to swerve to avoid a collision. During the evasive maneuver, he lost control of his motorcycle and ended up in a ditch.

The motorcycle was no longer roadworthy due to the accident, and the man suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment by ambulance.

The police department is handling the investigation of the hit-and-run accident on Cappenberger Damm in Selm. The police are looking for the driver responsible for the accident, but the driver's identity remains unknown.
