Police are seeking witnesses for a potential investigation.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, two separate incidents of suspected burglaries were reported in the towns of Recklinghausen and Castrop-Rauxel, according to information transmitted by news aktuell from Police Headquarters Recklinghausen.
In Recklinghausen, three masked suspects climbed over a wall onto a property located on Gildenstraße at around 02:30 - 03:00. The suspects pried open a window to gain entry to a building, where they are believed to have taken jewelry. However, no detailed descriptions of the suspects are available at this time. A resident was awakened by the noise made by the suspects.
Meanwhile, in Castrop-Rauxel, unknown suspects gained entry to a café on Rittershofer Straße by prying open an overhead light. The suspects, who could not be described, took food from the kitchen and fled undetected. No further loot was reported from the café.
The identities of the suspects in Recklinghausen have not been disclosed, and the police have described them as likely male. The police are still searching for witnesses in both cases.
