Police detention center: Prisoner found unconscious in the central station
On the night of August 26, 2025, a routine check by the Federal Police at Dresden Central Station led to an unexpected arrest. At around 00:30, officers found a 19-year-old German man asleep in the dome hall of the main station.
The young man, who claimed not to have any identification documents, was taken to the Federal Police Station at the main station for further proceedings. A subsequent check of his personal details revealed a warrant for his arrest issued by the Dresden Regional Court.
The arrest was due to a warrant issued against the 19-year-old, who now faces charges including fraud, theft, property damage, forgery, and attempted computer fraud. A separate report was filed for a violation of the Weapons Act due to the pocket knife found readily accessible on the young man.
Upon further investigation, a stolen mobile phone was also found on the 19-year-old. The officers learned that he had found the phone a few days ago at the post office and kept it because it was not locked. This led to an additional report for embezzlement.
