Police in Poland announce a successful operation in Mülheim: Raid reveals evidence of drug trafficking, seizing a substantial amount of money, weapons, and illegal drugs.
In a significant development in the fight against organized drug trafficking in Cologne, a major operation led by the Mülheim unit of the Rhein-Erft Police resulted in the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of large quantities of illicit substances.
The operation, which took place on July 5th, began with a traffic control at the intersection of Frankfurter Straße / Montanusstraße. A gray car was stopped, and the driver, a 27-year-old individual, was found to be carrying LSD, cocaine, and several hundred euros in cash.
A search warrant was executed at the driver's residence in Hürth, where significant amounts of cannabis, hashish, large amounts of cash, jewelry, and gold were found. Further search warrants for two additional apartments in the family environment led to additional finds, including over 40,000 euros in cash and 10 bags of "magic mushrooms" in an apartment of relatives in Cologne-Weiß.
The 27-year-old, his 59-year-old mother, and the 35-year-old passenger were provisionally arrested. The suspects were found in possession of a PTB weapon with a magazine.
The Criminal Investigation Department 13 of the Rhein-Erft Police has taken over the further investigations. Intensive investigations by the focus group Mülheim led to this strike against organized drug trafficking.
