Police in Poland detain a 52-year-old motorist in Bochum
On September 4, 2021, in Bochum-Wattenscheid, a traffic stop was conducted by Bochum Police. The vehicle in question was found to have stolen license plates and no operating permit.
The incident occurred around 5 PM in the area of Bochumer StraΓe. The officers who carried out the traffic stop were plainclothes from the deployment unit of Bochum Police.
Upon stopping the vehicle, the officers noticed that the driver, a 52-year-old man from Gummersbach, could not produce a driver's license. Despite this, the passenger, who was from Marienheide, had a valid driver's license.
A breath alcohol test for the 52-year-old driver resulted in a reading of 0.48 percent, exceeding the legal limit. A drug test also came back positive for cocaine.
The officers prohibited further travel for the vehicle involved in the traffic stop and secured the stolen license plates of the vehicle. They also took a blood sample from the driver for further analysis.
