Police Officers Attacked Following Dangerous Driving Incident; Witnesses Sought After Multiple Road Accidents with Partial Injuries, altercations, and vehicle blaze
In the past week, several traffic incidents have occurred in our region, resulting in injuries, property damage, and ongoing investigations.
On Friday afternoon, a 21-year-old Honda driver was stopped by the Tubingen traffic police for dangerous driving maneuvers. The incident in Hirrlingen resulted in serious injuries for the scooter driver, aged 27, and his passenger, 20. The Opel driver, involved in a hit-and-run, sustained approximately €1,000 in damage to their vehicle and caused €200 worth of damage to a street lamp.
Saturday afternoon saw another accident on the B28 near Bad Urach, where a motorcyclist suffered severe injuries in a rear-end collision. Three car occupants also sustained minor injuries in the same accident. The damage to the motorcycle was estimated at approximately €2,000.
In Neckartailfingen, an 80-year-old woman driving a Mercedes B-Class was involved in an accident on Saturday afternoon. The incident resulted in one seriously injured person and 20,000 euros in material damage.
On the K 7173 in Straßberg, a traffic accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, injuring a motorcyclist, aged 56, who was riding a Honda.
Investigations have been initiated against the Honda driver for his dangerous driving and flight from police. Similarly, the Tübingen police station is investigating a 20-year-old Opel driver for a hit-and-run incident that damaged a street lamp.
On Saturday morning, an attack occurred at the Balingen Clinic, resulting in minor injuries to a 23-year-old man and his 24-year-old companion. The attackers fled in an unknown direction after the incident. The Balingen Police Station is investigating a case of dangerous bodily harm against several unknown persons.
A vehicle fire resulted in approximately €6,000 worth of damage in Dotternhausen on Saturday afternoon. The fire occurred in a 50-year-old man's Audi parked in Dormettinger Straße.
During the Hirrlingen traffic accident investigation, several indications of influence by intoxicating substances were found in the 27-year-old scooter driver.
In a separate incident, a 59-year-old driving a VW Caddy entered an intersection on a red light, causing an accident in Neckartailfingen on Saturday afternoon.
A 55-year-old man was arrested at the Reutlingen Wine Festival due to aggressive behavior and attacking police officers.
In connection with incidents at a gas station in Neckartailfingen around Sunday early morning, two men aged 19 and 45 are under suspicion of bodily harm by the Nürtingen Police Station. However, no direct names are given related to the Saturday evening traffic accident in Neckartailfingen.
Lastly, a 22-year-old driver of a BMW was involved in the accident on the B28 near Bad Urach. The investigations into these incidents are ongoing.
