In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a scooter rider in Konstanz fled from a police checkpoint on Theodor-Heuss-Straße. The incident, which took place at 2:50 AM, led to a series of events that have resulted in the 26-year-old scooter rider facing a charge of driving under the influence.

The scooter was found parked outside the driver's residence, and a subsequent search warrant was issued after consultation with the on-call prosecutor. The 26-year-old was found in the living room of his residence, wearing a rain-soaked jacket and in possession of the scooter key.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the 26-year-old had a blood alcohol content of over 1.8% following a breathalyzer test. This revelation led to the 26-year-old being required to undergo two blood tests at a hospital to confirm the results.

Initially, the 26-year-old claimed he had only recently consumed alcohol, but further investigation has not yet revealed the name of the individual in the available search results. The 26-year-old sped off towards Bismarcksteig after fleeing from the police checkpoint on Theodor-Heuss-Straße.

The public is reminded of the importance of responsible drinking and adhering to traffic laws to ensure the safety of everyone on the road.
