Post-European Elections: Emphasis on Attitude Adjustment and Improved Communication

In the political landscape of Germany, a new era has begun. The current Chancellor, Friedrich Merz of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), assumed office on May 6, 2025. However, it's important to remember that the reality we find ourselves in today was already present before the election.

The election results have not created the current reality, but they have made it measurable. Many people have expressed dismay following the election, but acceptance of the reality, even if it is unfavourable, is necessary. It is a prerequisite for initiating change.

The job of shaping the future narrative lies with the Chancellor and his team. They must understand that professional politics should prioritize society over itself to shape reality. Communication is essential in this process, as leadership rhetoric is necessary for the art of state leadership.

The future narrative should be a "man-on-the-moon" narrative for society, inspiring hope and ambition. It should not just focus on heating laws and cannabis chatter but should give people a vision they can strive for.

Moreover, the future narrative should allow everyone, regardless of thoughts, speech, or consumption, to become an important and essential part. It should have room for those with different opinions, fostering a sense of togetherness that everyone wants to live in.

Trying to formulate the AfD & Co. narrative democratically and digestibly will not shape a new reality. Instead, the focus should be on creating a narrative that is a magnet for this togetherness.

Actions must be taken to shape change, even in unfavourable circumstances. The current reality is a measurable one, and it is up to the Chancellor and his team to use this as a foundation to build a better future for Germany.
