The city of Sochi and the Sirius Free Trade Zone (FTC) are under a weather alert, as meteorologists have warned of potential waterspouts over the sea in the Magri-Veseloe area in Sochi and the Sirius FTC until the morning of August 25.

The emergency services are prepared to respond to any weather-related incidents that may occur. Residents and tourists are advised to avoid water activities and follow safety precautions during this weather alert.

According to the Sochi Hydrometeorological Center, thunderstorms are also expected in parts of Sochi and Sirius during the night and morning hours of August 25. The weather conditions may include waterspouts and thunderstorms.

In response to this alert, Sochi Mayor, Andrey Proshunin, has ordered all emergency services to operate in enhanced mode. The city's operational headquarters is overseeing the response to the weather warnings and monitoring the situation closely.

Beaches in Sochi and Sirius FTC will remain open, dependent on weather conditions. However, it is recommended to not park vehicles under trees, billboards, and other structures. In case of an emergency, the number to contact is 112.
