Isack Hadjar Secures First Formula 1 Trophy and Turns Heads in the Racing World

Isack Hadjar, a rising star in the world of Formula 1, recently made history by securing third place at the Dutch Grand Prix, earning his first-ever Formula 1 trophy. The French racer, who is just 20 years old, became one of the youngest drivers in the history of motorsports' premier class to step onto the podium.

Laurent Mekies, team principal of Red Bull, praised Hadjar as "exceptional" following his impressive performance. The young racer's achievement has not gone unnoticed, with the international press also singing his praises. English publication "Mirror" even considered Hadjar a hot contender for the Rookie of the Year award in Formula 1.

Hadjar's journey to the top of the racing world has not been without its challenges. He shed tears before the opening race in Australia at the beginning of the year due to an embarrassing crash. However, he bounced back strongly, surprising many with his qualifying performance at the Dutch Grand Prix, where he secured fourth place.

Max Verstappen, a four-time Formula 1 champion and a role model for Hadjar since his junior days, also praised Hadjar's performance. Verstappen stated that Hadjar absolutely deserved to stand on the podium.

Despite his impressive performance, Hadjar's future career plans are not clear. Mekies hinted that the decision on Hadjar's promotion will not be made quickly. The second Red Bull seat for the 2026 Formula 1 season has not been officially assigned yet. However, strong speculation suggests IndyCar star Álex Palou could be the favored candidate to join Max Verstappen alongside Red Bull Racing in 2026.

Rumors also circulate that Hadjar, from the sister team Racing Bulls, could be a potential candidate for the Red Bull seat in 2026. However, Hadjar has not confirmed his readiness for a Red Bull promotion yet.

Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda, who currently holds the seat beside Verstappen, has not convinced, making the seat likely to become available in 2026. French publication "L'Equipe" stated that Hadjar does not need to drive a Red Bull to stand on the podium at a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Hadjar's podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix delivered another strong argument for securing one of the most coveted seats in Formula 1. His performance was not solely due to Lando Norris's retirement, as he had already surprised many with his qualifying performance.

Anthony Hamilton, the father of record world champion Lewis Hamilton, comforted Hadjar after the crash at the beginning of the year. The support from Hamilton senior and Verstappen's praise are sure to provide a boost to Hadjar as he continues his journey in Formula 1.
