Power integration between LifeSafety and ProdataKey results in PDK controllers fitting into LifeSafety enclosures.
LifeSafety Power and ProdataKey Form Alliance to Expand Unified Power Solutions
LifeSafety Power (LSP) has announced a new FlexPower technology alliance with ProdataKey (PDK). This partnership aims to expand LSP's Unified Power solutions with ProdataKey controllers, offering a combination of access control modules and power supplies.
The Unified Power lineup, offered by LifeSafety Power, features the LSP outputs, which are field-selectable for available DC voltages (12V or 24V DC, or both) and offer single or dual voltage operation. Each output is designed for easy installation and is protected against electrical surges caused by lightning or transients on the external wiring through SurgeShield.
The LSP outputs in the Unified Power lineup also offer fail-safe or fail-secure operation with a fire alarm interface. The lineup's pre-engineered enclosure ensures electrical and mechanical integration, while the enclosure includes space for LifeSafety Power NetLink Network Connectivity modules. These modules offer detailed power health reporting, remote troubleshooting, battery testing, email/SNMP alerts, and other proactive and predictive data.
The enclosure also includes a removable backplate controller wiring configuration and expansion slots for easy installation of additional power distribution modules and components. Multiple LSP FlexPower modules can be connected in access control power systems, controlling up to 32 doors.
It is important to note that the Unified Power lineup and the JamAlert device, introduced by DMP, are separate products. The JamAlert device is a solution designed to address the need for a device capable of detecting illegal cellular signal jammers, a growing threat in the security industry. The Unified Power lineup, on the other hand, does not offer any features related to cellular signal jammer detection or protection.
The alliance between LifeSafety Power and ProdataKey is expected to bring about exciting developments in the security industry, as the two companies work together to expand Unified Power solutions with ProdataKey controllers. The compatibility of the Unified Power lineup's ProdataKey integration is confirmed with PDK Red Series controllers.
In conclusion, the Unified Power lineup from LifeSafety Power offers a range of features designed to make it an efficient choice for security integrators. With its field-selectable DC voltages, easy installation, and detailed power health reporting, the Unified Power lineup is a reliable solution for access control power systems. Meanwhile, the JamAlert device, introduced by DMP, provides a much-needed solution for detecting illegal cellular signal jammers, addressing a growing threat in the security industry.
