Practical Guidance for Female Self-Protection

The Youth Culture Center (Jugendkulturzentrum, JUKZ) Lahnstein, in cooperation with several organisations, is set to host a self-defense course for women and girls. This initiative is part of the global "Orange the World" campaign, an effort aimed at combating violence against women.

The course, based on the WenDo concept - a self-defense and self-assertion approach developed by women for women - will take place at the clubhouse in Kallmünz. It is designed to teach age-appropriate self-defense techniques to both women and girls.

The self-defense course is a significant contribution to the "Orange the World" campaign, which seeks to raise awareness and take action against gender-based violence. Kultureck's participation underscores their commitment to promoting safety and empowerment for women and girls.

The location of the course remains the clubhouse in Kallmünz, where participants can expect a safe and supportive environment to learn essential self-defense skills. The course is open to all interested individuals, regardless of age or experience.

The self-defense course is not an advertisement, but an opportunity for women and girls to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary for self-protection. By learning self-defense, participants can build confidence, assertiveness, and resilience, qualities that are crucial in navigating the world as a woman.

In addition to Kultureck, the self-defense course is supported by the Equality Office of Rhein-Lahn District, the Regional Diakonie Pregnancy Counseling Center in Hessen and Nassau gGmbH, the Catholic Pregnancy Counseling of Caritasverband Westerwald-Rhein-Lahn e.V., and the Counseling Center for Pregnant Women from Frauenwürde Rhein-Lahn e.V. These organisations share the same vision of promoting safety, empowerment, and equality for women and girls.

The self-defense course is a testament to Kultureck's dedication to the "Orange the World" campaign, which aims to create a world free from violence against women and girls. By learning self-defense, participants can take an active role in their own safety and contribute to a safer community for all.
