In the heart of Regensburg, a city famously known as the northernmost city of Italy, lies the Brezeria. This unique establishment combines Italian pizza with Bavarian cuisine, offering a dining experience that is both traditional and innovative.

The star of the menu at the Brezeria is the "Regensburg" breze-pizza. Unlike its Italian counterpart, the Bavarian breze-pizza has a thicker and heavier dough, providing a distinct texture. Topped with Knacker, Schmand, spicy and sweet mustard, fresh horseradish, small pickled cucumber cubes, and more, this pizza offers a taste that is more like a well-seasoned sausage salad.

The chef responsible for this culinary fusion is Tobias Meyer. His creation, the Breze-Pizza, has become a favourite among locals and visitors alike.

As a starter, patrons are served "meatballs," consisting of three meatballs in breze crumbs, served on rocket and potato salad. For beverages, the Brezeria offers cucumber-ginger-schorle and homemade lemonade.

For those seeking a heartier meal, the Brezeria offers a whole breze-pizza, a new offering, and traditional Bavarian dishes such as roast pork and schnitzel, priced at 20 euros each. The prices for Bavarian breze-pizzas range from 16 to 19 euros, while homemade lemonades cost 5.50 euros.

Breakfast is served at the Brezeria until 11:30 am, and in the evening, cocktails are served with a view of the Danube and the World Heritage site. All dishes at the Brezeria are available for takeaway.

The Brezeria is located in the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte on Donaumarkt. The opening hours for "A Gasthaus," the Brezeria's parent restaurant, are Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 11 pm, Sunday 10 am to 6 pm, and Monday closed.
