Prepared for an anticipated rendezvous, the platform Rally Star Romet Jürgenson prepares for a cherished WRC2 homecoming at Rally Estonia.

Rally Star Romet Juergenson and his co-driver Siim Oja are gearing up for a thrilling challenge as they compete in Rally Estonia, the eighth round of the 2025 World Rally Championship. Taking place from 17-20 July, this exciting event features 20 special stages and 308 kilometres of competitive action.

Juergenson, a rising talent in the WRC2 category, is no stranger to the Estonian rally stages, having driven them in the past two years. He acknowledges the importance of these familiar roads, stating, "I know where to push and where to back off, which gives us a significant advantage."

In preparation for the rally, Juergenson has been reviewing old onboards to learn from previous mistakes and improve his performance. His pace notes are solid, and he is confident that this will contribute to a strong showing.

The Rally Estonia course is renowned for its high-speed gravel stages, where flat-out pace is often rewarded more than cautious strategy. Juergenson, who has had a successful WRC2 campaign in recent months, is ready to capitalise on this, aiming to find extra speed while maintaining consistency.

Juergenson's performance and maturity have been steadily improving throughout the year, and this event is another chance for him to build on that. Rally Star Project Leader Jérôme Roussel agrees, stating that Rally Estonia is a significant milestone for Juergenson and Oja, offering them a real chance to show their progress on familiar ground.

While the competition is fierce, with several experienced Estonian and Finnish drivers on the WRC2 entry list, Juergenson is not deterred. He is aware that it is his first year in WRC2 and that he needs to be smart about his approach to the rally.

Notable competitors include the successful Estonian WRC2 driver Robert Virves, who drives a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 for Toksport WRT. Virves, who boasts advantages from his previous experience on these stages, including increased confidence from his home victory and a podium in Finland, is a formidable contender.

Despite the challenges, Juergenson remains optimistic. He believes a top six finish is possible in Rally Estonia if he plays his cards right, pushes on the stages he knows, and executes everything perfectly. With his determination and the support of his team, Juergenson is ready to make his mark on his home rally.

In Sardinia, Juergenson saw a "big step forward" in his performance, improving his rally craft and allowing him to push harder and be more consistent. He plans to carry this momentum into Rally Estonia, focusing on the stages he knows well to find that extra speed.

As the countdown to Rally Estonia begins, fans are eagerly awaiting the high-speed, action-packed event. With Juergenson's determination and the unique challenges of the rally, it promises to be an unforgettable spectacle.
